Do you remember the Sword and Shield?class reunion picture
Do you remember the gravel playground…
the German/Irish basketball rivalry games
and of course Picnic Day?

St. Michael’s Alumni Association maintains a listing of graduates ranging all the way back to the Class of 1926 from that gravel playground to the gymnasium. Grads interested in having a Class reunion are encouraged to share information with the parish office. While we have class lists, not all are complete or necessarily current. So ask for the Alumni list and share your ‘found classmates’ and new info with St. Michael’s.

Gatherings for a Mass at St. Michael’s are encouraged as part of a reunion celebration. Contact the parish office. Recent gatherings were the Class of 1957, Class of 1956, 1959, 1965, 1982, . . . Of course, the Annual Parish Picnic, the first Monday in June, is always attended by many alumni—some even travelling back ‘home’ to Shrewsbury just for Picnic. Why not come to ‘Homecoming?’ We invite you back to St. Mike’s!

If you are an alumnus(a), please take just a moment to contact us and give us your current info so we can maintain current listings (Include name – include maiden name, class of or year of graduation, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number). You can reach us at 647-5611 or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Class of 1959 50th Reunion

The St. Michael's Class of 1959 held their 50th year reunion on Saturday, June 6, 2009.  It was a great
turnout, and everyone had a wonderful evening renewing friendships and reminiscing.  As each classmate arrived, a picture was taken at the entrance below a sign which said, "Welcome Class of '59 Alumni"  next to the St. Mike's logo.  Music from the 1950s was playing in the background throughout the home of our hosts, Wayne and Kathy (Doran) Brasser.  After a wonderful buffet dinner, everyone gathered to watch a DVD slide show of memories from grade school days which were taken by Father Harold Voelker, assistant pastor at the time.  Cameras flashed and new memories were made.  The evening was a great success and it was commented that "we should do this again...sooner than later."  Before saying goodbye, each classmate received a buzz book to keep in touch with the class and a copy of the DVD shown earlier in the evening.
