JOHN 15 Youth Ministry
Beginning August 2013, Annunciation, St. Michael the Archangel, Our Lady of Providence and Seven Holy Founders parishes began a full-time, multi-parish youth ministry program called John 15 Youth Ministry. Youth ministry events and activities are open to all current high school students, and throughout the year we have many different activities in which teenagers can participate, make friends, and grow in their relationship with God. John 15 Youth Ministry meets weekly for youth group activities: Thursdays from 7:00pm – 9:00pm and Sundays from 12:30pm – 2:30pm in the new youth room located in the basement of the Seven Holy Founders’ Parish Center. We have much larger activities, such as the annual trip to the Pro-Life March in January, the Luke 18 retreat, the trip to Springfield Missouri for the Steubenville Conference in July, and an annual Junior/Senior retreat. There are roles in these programs for teenagers, volunteers, parents, prayer warriors, sponsors, and all parishioners. Please feel free to email me with any questions or comments at
LUKE 18 Retreat
Luke 18 is an annual weekend retreat for 8th graders to be welcomed into the youth group and the youth ministry program. High school students assist in leading the retreat, by giving talks, leading small group sessions, and serving as role models for younger teens. The high school Team also helps prepare the retreat during periodic meetings for over a month. This is an opportunity for older teens to take on leadership roles within the Church, and for younger teens to take steps toward developing their faith as young adults.
