BINGO 2012-2013 School Year Dear Parents If you have any questions about scheduling, please feel free to call Drew and Christine McDermott at 314-644-3006..Drew and Christine McDermott
BINGO HIGHLIGHTS WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES Substitute workers: Workers must be at least 16 year old. Children under 16 are not allowed to work. If a substitute worker is working your scheduled shift, make sure of the following: 1. The substitute worker needs to fill out a Bingo Commission Sheet – it is your responsibility to let them know that this needs to be done. 2. Make sure the substitute worker signs in your name so you get the credit for working. 3. All substitute workers must be a member of the parish.
BINGO NIGHT DUTIES
1. Bingo workers are needed by 5:30pm in both the kitchen and on the floor. 2. Be sure to complete the sign-in sheet when you arrive(sign-in sheets are in the Bingo Office) 3. If you are working for someone else Sign your name and clarify the person you are working for.
MISSED BINGO
We hope this will be a rare occurrence, but if you have missed working your scheduled bingo, please contact Margie at 647-7213 as soon as possible to reschedule your evening.
On the night you make up the missed bingos, check with Margie to see where she needs you to work. She will let you know if you are in the kitchen, bar or floor. If you were originally scheduled for a kitchen on the night you missed, please do not assume you will have the kitchen on your make up night. KITCHEN/BAR DUTIES: There are four kitchen workers – three in the kitchen and one in the bar. Kitchen and Bar will be assigned this year -please arrive at 5:30 for your shift. The bar remains open until 30 minutes after intermission. This year we are also asking those individual assigned to the kitchen/bar to be available to stay in the event that a floor worker does not show up. This is the only way we can continue to hold our parent commitment to 6-7 bingos. IF people are not willing to help out in this way – we will have to increase the number of bingos the parents work. We will also be pulling individuals from the kitchen during the first half of the evening to help out on the floor – so everyone will be asked to pitch in, but this way you will be working hard while you are there while working less bingos over the year! CHANGING ASSIGNED BINGO NIGHTS If something comes up to prevent you from working on your scheduled night to volunteer, please use the volunteer list to trade with another parent, then contact Margie at 647-7213. In an emergency, there are parishioners who are available to replace you. Because we keep the number of volunteers to a minimum it is important that we have all our assigned workers each night. NEW FAMILIES Each new person must fill out a form for the Bingo Commission. If you are a new family to St. Michael’s, please take a moment to fill out the form after signing up for bingo. Each worker needs to have a form on file with their Social Security number. These are kept at the rectory and are kept confidential. BINGO SCHEDULE Drew and Christine McDermott will be taking over the scheduling for Bingo. Please contact them if you have any questions regarding the scheduling.
Schedule of Workers - By Month Bingo Subs In case of inclement weather, please call our "bingo phone" on Friday for updates on possible cancellation of that night's bingo. We won't cancel unless we feel it would not be safe for the players and volunteers to travel. The phone number is 314-645-9447. |
