Our Faith

Spiritual growth is a journey where we learn that our faith is a treasure to be shared and passed on to others. We invite you to join us on this path to conversion, communion and solidarity.

We welcome you to share in the strength and beauty of the Catholic faith, to encounter the living Jesus Christ!

Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church

Sacraments of Initiation

  • Baptism: Baptism is the beginning of our Christian journey, where we received into the Church and recreated with a new identity as beloved sons and daughters of God.

  • The Eucharist: The Eucharist is the “source and summit of the Christian life.”  Because Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist, it’s the place from which all blessings in our lives flow, and to which everything in our lives is directed.

  • Confirmation: Jesus sent the gift of the Holy Spirit to descend on his followers, strengthening and empowering them to be his witnesses in the world. Confirmation for youth is administered in a child’s 8th grade year, and Confirmation for adults is administered during the Easter season after having completed the RCIA classes.

Sacraments of Healing

  • Reconciliation: The Sacrament of Reconciliation, or Confession, is a special gift whereby we bring to God our sins and failings, and receive from him healing and forgiveness, bringing us back to him and to our community.

  • Anointing of the Sick: Just as Jesus healed the sick and forgave sins in his public ministry, so now he entrusts the Church with this sacrament for the healing of body and spirit.

Sacraments of Service

  • Marriage: In the Sacrament of Marriage, a husband and wife are bound together by a sacred covenant, and become the living image of Jesus’ love for us, his Church.

  • Holy Orders: Jesus calls all to discipleship, but some to minister to his people in his name as priests and deacons through the Sacrament of Holy Orders.  Clergy are called not to be served, but to serve, giving their lives in service to God’s people. If you feel you might be called to the priesthood or diaconate, contact our pastor.
